Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong SQL and BigQuery expertise, GIS data knowledge, and telecommunications domain understanding. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, stakeholder-facing, and capable of delivering semantic data models and analytical dashboards to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ad-hoc data diagnostic analysis and deliver insights to stakeholders
- Design and maintain semantic data models aligned to business requirements
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau or Looker
- Collaborate with engineering teams on data quality and pipeline outputs
- Apply telecommunications knowledge (network topology, KPIs, telemetry, asset lifecycle) to analytical deliverables
- Manage and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience
SQL & BigQuery
- Advanced SQL (window functions, arrays and structs, DDL, DML, UDFs, CTEs)
- BigQuery computational model — partitioning, clustering, query optimisation, pricing model (on-demand vs slots)
- Understanding of BigQuery IAM access principles
- Experience using GraphQL
Data Modelling
- Normalisation and denormalisation
- Conceptual, logical, and physical modelling
- SCD and time series modelling
- Medallion architecture concept
- Translation of business requirements into modelling outputs (semantic layer focus)

GCS (Google Cloud Storage)
- Bucket and blob structure
- Storage classes and retention policies
- Bucket access management via IAM
GitLab
- Branch management, commits, merges
- Repository maintenance best practices
Tableau / Looker
- Dashboard design and creation
- Data connection and integration with BigQuery
GIS Data
- Knowledge of GIS data and engines (coordinate conversions, common file formats, BigQuery GIS)
Domain Knowledge
- Telecommunications: network topology, KPIs, telemetry, asset lifecycle
Stakeholder Management
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and communication on large-scale projects
Nice to Have
- Dataform for SQL modelling and transformation tasks
