About the Internship
Hawkroot is looking for a motivated Data Analyst Intern to join our team on a part-time basis. This internship is open to final-year students and recent graduates based in Bristol and across the UK who are ready to apply their analytical skills to live data projects in a professional environment.
Duration: 3 months
Working hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Hourly rate: £16.00 per hour
Work arrangement: Hybrid - 2 days in office, 3 days from home
Location: Bristol, United Kingdom
Your Responsibilities
- Gather, clean, and validate datasets to ensure accuracy and readiness for analysis
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and business insights
- Write and execute SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relevant sources
- Support the development and maintenance of dashboards using Power BI or similar tools
- Conduct statistical analysis and summarise findings in a clear and structured format
- Assist in preparing data outputs and reports for internal use
- Document data processes and contribute to maintaining data quality standards
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet project deadlines and deliverables

What Hawkroot Is Looking For
- Final-year student or recent graduate in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related analytical field
- Working knowledge of SQL and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualisation tools through coursework or personal projects
- Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis is beneficial
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment
- Based in or within commutable distance of Bristol, United Kingdom
