Hiring Company Overview
The hiring company is a specialist private credit platform providing senior secured lending to UK businesses. Built on a proprietary origination infrastructure developed over nearly a decade and using an AI-powered credit grading and pricing engine, the team has originated in excess of £2bn of lending.
The business is about to start work on the construction of a proprietary credit risk model to underpin lending decisions and pricing for loans.

To support the project, we are looking to take on an intern for a period of 8-10 weeks, 2-3 days per week starting ASAP. This opportunity would be ideal for a recent graduate from a Data Science, Maths + Computer Science, or similar degree who is looking to apply what they learnt at university in the real world. You will help with:
- Data cleansing
- Exploratory, descriptive analysis
- Segmentation of the population
- Feature engineering
- Outlier identification and treatment
- Predictive modelling using logistic regression and decision tree-based algorithms
- Fine tuning
- Testing and explaining the final model
