The Ardonagh Analytics Lab is an exciting new operation established by The Ardonagh Group in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. As a centre of excellence for data and analytics, the Lab delivers data-driven insights that support colleagues and clients across the globe.

We're now looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our growing Analytics Team and play a pivotal role in turning data into meaningful business insight.
The Opportunity
As a key member of the Data Analytics Team, you will work across a variety of datasets to both respond to business requests and proactively identify opportunities to improve performance across the Group.
You will bridge the gap between our Data Engineering and Data Visualisation teams, ensuring that data is transformed into valuable insights that drive decision-making, operational efficiency, and commercial success.

What You'll Be Doing
- Translate complex data into actionable insights that inform decision-making, solve business challenges, and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- Partner closely with Data Engineering and Data Visualisation teams to understand available data sources and maximise their business value.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within large datasets and provide recommendations that support strategic business decisions.
- Enhance automated reporting and dashboards through proactive analysis, meaningful commentary, and actionable recommendations.
- Support the development and implementation of robust data governance, management, and reporting processes across the Group.
- Explore and apply AI and machine learning techniques where appropriate to drive innovation and enhance business insight.
- Contribute to the continued development of a world-class analytics function within the Ardonagh Analytics Lab.

What We're Looking For
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong SQL expertise, including data querying, mining, manipulation, and segmentation.
- Advanced quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
- At least 2 years' experience using statistical programming languages such as Python or R.
- Solid understanding of database concepts, structures, and data modelling.
- Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence principles and analytical best practices.
- Experience with one or more BI tools, including Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within financial services.
- Previous exposure to General Insurance is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of predictive analytics, machine learning, or AI-based analytical techniques.
