New Permanent Opportunity for a Security Cleared Data Analyst

Must have active SC Clearance

Mid to Senior levels available

Up to £60k DoE plus package

Hybrid working – bases in Bristol, London, Manchester or Swansea

Our client is a leading technology consultancy delivering complex digital and data transformation programmes across the UK public sector. Their teams work with clients to make better use of their data, delivering analytical solutions and insights that support better decision-making across a range of critical services.

What will the Data Analyst be doing?

You’ll be responsible for analysing data and turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insights, working closely with clients and technical teams to solve challenging business problems. The role will involve data analysis, statistical techniques, data visualisation and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analysing and interpreting complex datasets to identify trends, relationships and actionable insights
  • Applying statistical techniques including hypothesis testing, regression and clustering
  • Carrying out data mining, profiling and exploratory analysis across varied datasets
  • Cleaning, standardising and transforming data to improve its quality and usability
  • Performing data linkage and integrating information from multiple sources
  • Developing data models and selecting appropriate analytical approaches to answer business questions
  • Creating clear and effective data visualisations to communicate findings
  • Translating analytical results into meaningful recommendations for clients and stakeholders
  • Applying appropriate data governance, security and quality practices throughout analytical work
  • Working with clients to understand requirements and communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences

Key Skills and Requirements

  • Commercial experience working in a Data Analysis role
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills with experience interpreting complex datasets
  • Experience with statistical techniques such as regression, hypothesis testing and clustering
  • Strong SQL skills and experience using Python for data analysis would be advantageous
  • Experience with data cleansing, standardisation, profiling and validation
  • Understanding of data modelling, data integration and data linkage
  • Experience creating data visualisations and communicating insights effectively
  • Understanding of data governance, security and data quality principles
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly with non-technical audiences
  • Experience contributing to analytical approaches and supporting wider project delivery would be advantageous
