Capita is looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join a growing operation supporting the delivery of critical public sector services. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical professional who enjoys working with operational data, identifying trends and transforming information into meaningful insights that drive performance.
Supporting a large-scale customer contact operation, you'll play a key role in ensuring leaders have access to accurate, timely and actionable management information to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Working closely with Operations, Workforce Planning, Quality and Training teams, you'll help deliver reporting that supports service performance, customer outcomes and business growth. You'll be joining a dynamic environment where data is at the heart of operational success.

Job Description:
What you'll be doing
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly management information reports and dashboards.
- Analyse operational performance across key metrics, including SLAs, KPIs, service levels, volumes, quality and customer outcomes.
- Create and maintain reporting packs that support operational and client governance meetings.
- Validate data accuracy, investigate anomalies and support data quality improvements.
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities through analysis and performance reporting.
- Provide meaningful insight and recommendations to operational stakeholders.
- Support ad hoc reporting requests and urgent business intelligence requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Workforce Planning, Quality and Continuous Improvement teams to support data-driven decision making.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of reporting solutions, dashboards and MI processes.
What we're looking for
Essential
- Previous experience in a Data Analyst, MI Analyst, Reporting Analyst or similar analytical role.
- Experience producing management information and operational reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation, validation and analysis.
- Experience creating dashboards, reports and performance packs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present findings clearly.
- Understanding of operational performance measures, KPIs and service metrics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable
- Experience using Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.
- SQL knowledge or experience querying data sources.
- Exposure to Snowflake or other cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience within contact centre, customer service, outsourced services or operational environments.
- Experience within public sector or regulated industries.
- Knowledge of workforce management or customer contact technologies.
