Job Summary
WPS is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our London-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to support business decision-making, identify trends, and improve operational performance. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, validate, and analyse large datasets from various sources.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations to support business objectives.
- Identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and business needs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance reporting.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.
- Produce ad hoc analysis and reports to support operational and strategic initiatives.
- Present findings and recommendations to management and key stakeholders.
- Support the development and implementation of data quality and governance processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business performance through data-driven insights.
- Assist in automating reporting processes and improving data efficiencies.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or similar analytical role.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data modelling.
- Experience using Power BI to create dashboards and reports.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Experience with Python, R, or other data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Experience working within construction, social housing, property services, facilities management, or related sectors.
- Understanding of statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Relevant professional certifications in Power BI, Data Analytics, SQL, or related areas are advantageous.
