About The Role

The Data and Insights Support role at Lloyd's Register International offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the organization’s strategic initiatives by transforming complex data into meaningful insights. Working closely with the Data and Insights Manager, you will play a vital part in delivering the Young Scot data and insight service, which supports decision-making processes across the organization. This full-time position, based on a hybrid working model, combines remote work with on-site presence at the Young Scot office in Edinburgh. The role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop their expertise in data analysis and contribute to impactful projects that influence organizational strategy and operations.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a relevant degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field. Proven experience in data analysis, visualization, and reporting is essential. Familiarity with data management tools and software such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is highly desirable. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret data accurately are critical for success in this role. Excellent communication skills are required to convey insights clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Data and Insights Manager in delivering the Young Scot data and insight service to various stakeholders.
  • Transform raw data into actionable insights through analysis, visualization, and reporting.
  • Assist in designing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and data models that meet organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to understand their data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through regular validation and cleaning processes.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in data analysis tools and techniques to enhance service delivery.
  • Contribute to the documentation of data processes and best practices to promote consistency and efficiency.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
