Job Summary

WPS is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our London-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to support business decision-making, identify trends, and improve operational performance. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, validate, and analyse large datasets from various sources.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations to support business objectives.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and business needs.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance reporting.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.
  • Produce ad hoc analysis and reports to support operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management and key stakeholders.
  • Support the development and implementation of data quality and governance processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business performance through data-driven insights.
  • Assist in automating reporting processes and improving data efficiencies.

Skills & Experience Essential

  • Experience in a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or similar analytical role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data modelling.
  • Experience using Power BI to create dashboards and reports.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience with Python, R, or other data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
  • Experience working within construction, social housing, property services, facilities management, or related sectors.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Relevant professional certifications in Power BI, Data Analytics, SQL, or related areas are advantageous.
