About The Role
The Data Analyst - SAP Success Factors position in Reading, offered through Pertemps Thames Water, is a full-time contract paying £400 daily. This role supports existing People Analytics reporting and the shift toward SuccessFactors-based systems, preserving historical output while building new capabilities. Responsibilities include gathering HR reporting requirements from stakeholders and developing interactive Story Reports. Strong expertise in SAP SuccessFactors Story Reporting is essential, alongside proficiency in at least one of SAC, Power BI, or SQL. The postholder converts complex information into actionable insights, ensuring continuity of legacy reporting and advancing analytics functions. This contract suits an analyst experienced in HR systems and modern visualisation tools.
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Data Analyst
with experience of SAP Success Factors to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will also have strong experience in SAP SuccessFactors Story Reporting and ideally one or all of SAC, Power BI, and SQL, with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful insights for informed business decisions.
The role will support both existing People Analytics reporting and the transition to SuccessFactors-based reporting, ensuring continuity of historical reporting while developing new analytics capabilities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Work with business stakeholders to understand HR data and reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain interactive Success Factors Story Reports translating business requirements into effective reporting solutions.
- Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using DAX, SQL, and effective data visualisation techniques.
- Build, maintain, and document data models, measures, calculations, filters, slicers, and drill-down functionality.
- Support SuccessFactors data mapping, migration, validation, and testing activities.
- Support integration of SuccessFactors data with existing Power BI reporting and legacy HR data to maintain historical trend analysis.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across reporting solutions.
- Support reporting through SuccessFactors implementation, go-live, and post-go-live activities.

Essential
What you should bring
- Significant experience with Power BI and SQL.
- Strong experience working with HR / People data.
- Practical experience with SAP SuccessFactors reporting and HR data.
- Experience with SuccessFactors data mapping, validation, migration, and testing.
- Experience supporting reporting across legacy HR systems and SuccessFactors.
- Experience with Power BI RLS.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data quality, and SQL database principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical and business teams.
Desirable
- Experience with SuccessFactors Employee Central or other SuccessFactors modules.
- Experience with SAP/ECC HR data.
- Experience working on HR transformation or HRIS implementation programmes.
- Experience optimising Power BI and SQL performance.
