Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a strong interest in automotive or cycling products and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not mandatory, as full training will be provided. A proactive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential. Candidates should also have good organizational skills, attention to detail, and a positive approach to problem-solving. A flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and holidays, is desirable to meet the needs of the store and its customers.

Responsibilities

As a team member at Halfords Careers, your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and assisting customers

  • Maintaining accurate stock levels and replenishing shelves
  • Ensuring products are correctly displayed to maximize sales

  • Handling cash transactions accurately

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment
  • Participating in stocktaking
  • Monitoring inventory levels
  • Assisting in the implementation of promotional activities to attract customers and increase sales
  • Upholding company policies and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
