A brief summary
Based within our global Media Services function, this role sits in the Assets & Data team and reports to the Head of Assets & Data. The Data Analyst helps the business make better use of its data, with a particular focus on S&OP, asset management and resource planning across the Group.
Using SQL, Power BI and Excel, the role will turn data from our Group systems into useful reporting and insight. A key part of the role is helping people understand what the data is telling us how our assets are being used, where demand is changing and where there may be opportunities to improve utilisation, reduce cost or make better investment decisions.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Write and maintain SQL queries to bring together and prepare data from Group business systems for analysis and reporting.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that help the business understand asset utilisation, demand, availability and performance.
- Analyse asset, resource and demand planning data to spot trends, capacity issues, under utilisation and opportunities to improve efficiency or reduce cost.
- Work with the Head of Assets & Data and teams across the business to understand the questions they are trying to answer and turn these into useful analysis and reporting.
- Check and reconcile data before it is used in reporting, investigate anything that does not look right and work with the relevant data owners to resolve issues.
- Support good data governance by helping to keep definitions, standards and quality checks consistent across asset and master data.
- Keep clear, practical documentation for key reports, dashboards, calculations and recurring analysis so that others can understand how they work and pick them up when needed.
- Work with IT where reporting depends on changes to systems, data access or integrations. The role will help define what the business needs from its data, with IT retaining responsibility for system architecture, security, access controls and technical infrastructure.
- Work with the Head of Assets & Data and business teams to improve the information held in operational systems, including highlighting gaps, inconsistencies or unclear data ownership.
- Provide regular and ad hoc analysis to support S&OP, asset planning, investment decisions, business cases and improvement activity across the Group.
- Look for sensible ways to make reporting and analysis quicker and easier, including automation and appropriate use of AI tools, while making sure outputs are checked and company data is handled appropriately.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
