About The Role
We are excited to partner with a prominent Northern Irish organization that is investing heavily in data, digital transformation, automation, and artificial intelligence. This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to become an integral part of their Business Transformation team. The successful candidate will take ownership of reporting and analytical functions across a complex, multi-business environment, working closely with stakeholders from finance, operations, IT, and transformation departments. The organization is embracing modern Microsoft technologies such as Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, Copilot, and Dynamics 365 F&O, providing the successful candidate with extensive opportunities to develop their skills beyond traditional reporting. This position is based in Belfast with hybrid working arrangements, offering a balanced mix of office and remote work.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or Reporting Analyst role, demonstrating strong technical skills and a strategic mindset. Essential qualifications include proficiency in SQL querying and data analysis, along with practical experience in developing reports and dashboards using Power BI. A solid background in Excel, especially working with large datasets, is required, complemented by experience in data transformation tools such as Power Query. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are vital, along with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. The candidate should be comfortable gathering requirements from business stakeholders and translating complex data into clear insights. Independence, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are also crucial. Desirable qualifications include experience with Microsoft Fabric, Dynamics 365 F&O, Power Platform, DAX, data modelling, and AI-enabled analytics tools like Copilot.

Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to business requests for data, analysis, and management information, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and clarify reporting requirements, translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis tasks.
- Design, develop, and enhance Power BI dashboards and comprehensive reporting suites to support business decision-making.
- Produce KPI, operational, financial, and commercial reports to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, risks, and potential areas for operational enhancement.
- Present analytical findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, supporting strategic initiatives.
- Support data quality, validation, and reporting governance activities to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain thorough documentation covering reporting logic, data ownership, and data standards for transparency and consistency.
- Identify opportunities to streamline or automate manual reporting processes, increasing efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with a Data Engineer on technical data development projects, contributing to the enhancement of data infrastructure.
- Participate in Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, Copilot, and AI initiatives to leverage innovative technologies for improved analytics capabilities.

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £40,000, commensurate with experience. The organization promotes a hybrid working model, allowing three days in the Belfast office and two days working remotely each week, fostering a healthy work-life balance.
