Job Title: Data Analyst
Role Summary: Support the compilation, assurance, analysis, and reporting of PDP Applications for Payment, including time booking and charges, expenses, and subcontractors. Review existing data flows to improve consistency, identify and develop solutions for improving efficiency of current processes and tools, and develop enhanced analysis through dashboards.
Location: London-Based
Required Criteria:
- Experience within Water Infrastructure projects.
- Right to work in the UK.
Key Requirements:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills:
- Confidently work across multiple inter-linked spreadsheets and large datasets.
- Data Structuring and Validation:
- Strong understanding of data structuring and validation in Excel.
- Ability to identify and correct inconsistencies in source data to prevent downstream errors.
- Automation and Scripting:
- Experience using automation and scripting (e.g., Excel formulas, Power Query M language, VBA, or equivalent) to manipulate, cleanse, reconcile, and compare data from multiple sources.
- Power Query and Reporting Workflows:
- Proven capability in building automated data transformation and reporting workflows using Excel Power Query, including refreshable queries and repeatable processes.
- Data Models in Excel:
- Ability to design robust, maintainable data models within Excel, with clear logic and documentation to support reuse and auditability.
- Analytical Mindset:
- Attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the reporting lifecycle.
- Power BI Integration:
- Desirable experience in integrating Excel-based data flows into Power BI, including use of Power Query and data models shared between tools.
- Power BI Dashboards and Visualizations:
- Desirable skills in building Power BI dashboards and visualizations, presenting complex data clearly for stakeholders and decision-making.
