Business Overview

Our Clients & Strategy team covers Business Development, Investor Relations, External Relations, Sustainable Investment and Brand, Marketing & Communications, including Internal Communications. It is responsible for all communications to investor prospects, existing investors and their asset consultants, as well as a broad range of other stakeholders, including governments and media.

The Role

The Data Analyst supports IFM's Client Experience, Data & Insights team by transforming marketing, client and digital data into actionable insights that support business decision-making, client engagement and growth. This role is suited to a recent graduate or early-career professional with strong analytical capability, curiosity and a desire to build practical skills in data analysis, reporting and insight generation.

Working across teams in London, New York and Melbourne, the role will support the development of dashboards, reporting, customer insights and marketing analytics that help improve client experience and commercial outcomes.

The role provides an opportunity to develop expertise in data visualisation, marketing analytics, CRM data, customer insights and emerging AI-enabled analytics tools.

Your Background and Experience

  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, marketing analytics, business analytics or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience using Excel to analyse, interpret and present data.
  • Exposure to reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms.
  • Basic understanding of CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and digital marketing platforms.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills.
  • Understanding of marketing performance metrics and customer analytics.
  • Interest in financial markets and investment management.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Foundational knowledge of SQL and other data querying languages.
  • Exposure to Python, R or similar analytical tools would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of data analysis concepts, including segmentation, reporting, trend analysis and performance measurement.
  • Awareness of data management, data quality and governance principles.
  • Familiarity with APIs and data integration concepts would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of customer, digital and marketing analytics.
  • Awareness of AI-enabled analytics, reporting and automation tools.
  • Understanding of responsible AI principles, including data privacy, governance and the ethical use of data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related discipline.

Business Knowledge

  • Strong problem-solving capability and experience synthesising data into actionable insights.
  • Understanding of how analytics and data-driven decision-making support business outcomes.

Technical Knowledge

  • Familiarity with SQL databases and data structures.
  • Basic understanding of CRM systems and customer data.
  • Understanding of key marketing channels and associated performance metrics.
  • Exposure to data visualisation and reporting tools.
  • Awareness of data governance and data quality best practices.
