Psicon is a specialist neurodevelopmental service working collaboratively with various NHS trusts to provide autism and ADHD assessments. We are an independent organisation, but most of our work is for the NHS, whom we are proud to support. Psicon is committed to offering the best psychological support and healthcare available. About The Role

Due to our continued growth we are now looking to add to our Data Team based in Canterbury. The Data Analyst will play a key role within our business intelligence function, supporting our organisation through detailed data analysis, reporting, and the development of data-driven insights to support decision making and investment by our Senior Executives.

Principal duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertake detailed analysis of operational and clinical system data using Power BI/ Power Query
  • Triage and monitor the data service desk, responding to ad hoc requests and BAU reporting
  • Support gathering data requirements for the implementation of new systems and clients, including validating outputs
  • Assist with developing and maintaining technical documentation relating to data definitions and the organisation’s data dictionary.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements that enhance information flow
  • Improve key stakeholders’ understanding of business performance through detailed data analysis
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date datasets relating to clinical activity
  • Provide data to support internal audits
  • Produce reports for internal meetings
  • Monitor performance against KPIs for staff and activity contracts
  • Develop and maintain visual dashboards for managers

Person Specification

  • A degree in mathematics, science or a business-related subject.
  • Must have experience in data analysis
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Salesforce Analytics
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure while meeting critical deadlines
  • A positive attitude, including during high-pressure periods within the BI department
