Data Analyst

London | Hybrid working | Up to £40,000

Must be in the South / South East of the UK.

No sponsorship available

Method Resourcing is partnering with an established international business to recruit a Data Analyst for its growing data team.

This is a varied role combining data analysis, reporting and stakeholder support. You will work across different areas of the business, helping teams understand their data, improve reporting and turn information into clear, practical insights.

You will also contribute to several wider data projects as the business improves how information is collected, managed and presented.

What you will be doing

  • Responding to data and reporting requests from teams across the business
  • Using SQL to query and analyse data from multiple sources
  • Creating dashboards, reports and visualisations for business stakeholders
  • Working with data from sales, marketing, finance, events and other commercial systems
  • Supporting the improvement of reporting processes across the organisation
  • Investigating data quality and reporting issues
  • Working with Data Engineers to identify problems and support appropriate solutions
  • Contributing to wider business intelligence and company reporting projects

What we are looking for

  • Commercial experience working as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Reporting Analyst or similar
  • Good SQL knowledge and strong analytical problem solving skills
  • Experience using a data visualisation platform such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker or ThoughtSpot
  • Confidence using Google Sheets or Excel, including formulas and data manipulation
  • The ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A curious approach and the confidence to investigate why data or reporting may be incorrect

Experience with any of the following would be particularly useful

  • GCP or BigQuery
  • ThoughtSpot
  • Salesforce or other CRM platforms
  • Marketing and sales data
  • Financial reporting, including revenue, costs, budgets or forecasting
  • Media, events, publishing, training or consulting environments

You do not need to have every preferred technology listed. The business is open to candidates with transferable BI and cloud data experience who are interested in learning its current platforms.

The role offers hybrid working, with an expectation of attending the London office approximately once per week.
