Company Description
MetricsHour is a macroeconomic data terminal that delivers institutional-grade economic intelligence, global trade flow insights, and corporate disclosure analytics through a streamlined, analyst-focused interface. The company’s core strength is geographic revenue attribution, linking corporate filings and global macroeconomic data to show how company revenues are exposed to specific countries and regions. By integrating SEC EDGAR data with sources such as the World Bank, IMF, UN Comtrade, and the US Census Bureau, MetricsHour powers advanced tools for researchers and investors. The platform supports macro and sovereign analysis, geographic risk screening, trade corridor mapping, and institutional holdings tracking. MetricsHour’s automated intelligence and low-latency infrastructure provide users with reliable, high-fidelity data to navigate complex global markets.
Role Description
The Data Analyst at MetricsHour is a full-time, remote role responsible for turning complex macroeconomic and financial datasets into actionable insights. Day-to-day activities include acquiring, cleaning, and structuring data from multiple sources, building analytical models, and performing statistical analysis to support product features and client use cases. The role involves creating dashboards and reports, validating data quality, and collaborating closely with product, engineering, and client-facing teams to refine metrics and methodologies. The Data Analyst will help interpret geographic revenue exposure, trade flows, and macro indicators, and present findings in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position also contributes to continuous improvement of data pipelines, documentation, and best practices.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
