The Opportunity
Akkodis is seeking a Senior Data Analyst / Data Analytics Engineer to join a newly established team delivering a major UK public sector digital transformation programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale, data-driven platform that will support critical workforce and talent initiatives. You'll play a key role in transforming complex data into actionable insights, helping stakeholders make informed decisions through advanced analytics, reporting, and data science.
Working at the intersection of data analytics, business intelligence, and modern cloud technologies, you'll help design and deliver innovative solutions that have a meaningful impact on a nationally significant programme.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive DOMO dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources including SaaS applications, APIs, and public datasets.
- Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines to support scalable analytics and reporting.
- Develop data models and analytics frameworks that enable self-service reporting and business intelligence.
- Apply advanced analytics, forecasting, and data science techniques to identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and engaging manner.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, security, and compliance.

What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with DOMO, including dashboards, datasets, dataflows, and connectors.
- Advanced SQL skills.
- Experience using Python or R for analytics, automation, or modelling.
- Proven experience integrating data from multiple sources, including APIs and SaaS platforms.
- Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
- Strong data visualisation and storytelling skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights.
Desirable
- Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning, or AI technologies.
- Exposure to AWS or Azure data platforms.
- Knowledge of data governance, GDPR, and secure data management practices.
- Experience working within large-scale transformation or government programmes.
- Relevant certifications in DOMO, AWS, Azure, or Data Analytics.

You'll be a commercially minded data professional who enjoys solving complex problems and driving decisions through data. You will be comfortable working across both technical and business teams, combining strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate insights effectively to a range of audiences.
