We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for the position of Data Analytics Intern. This remote internship is designed for motivated students and recent graduates who are passionate about working with data, uncovering meaningful insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making.

This opportunity provides practical exposure to data analysis, reporting, data visualization, and analytics tools while working in a collaborative remote environment.

Role Overview

As a Data Analytics Intern, you will assist in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to support business objectives. You will work with datasets, generate reports, create dashboards, and help identify trends that enable informed business decisions while gaining practical experience with industry-standard analytics tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and organise data from multiple sources.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Analyse datasets to support business and operational decision-making.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and visualisations using business intelligence tools.
  • Assist in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
  • Work with SQL to extract, manipulate, and validate data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand analytical requirements.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across reports.
  • Document analytical findings and prepare presentations for stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest data analytics tools, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in data analysis and business intelligence.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a remote environment.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
  • Basic understanding of statistics and data analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
  • Basic understanding of Python for data analysis is preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn new tools and analytical techniques.

Preferred Skills

  • Microsoft Excel (Advanced Functions, Pivot Tables, Charts).
  • SQL for data extraction and reporting.
  • Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
  • Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib).
