About the Opportunity

We are recruiting a Data Analytics Intern on behalf of one of our clients. This opportunity is ideal for students, recent graduates, and aspiring data professionals seeking to build practical analytical skills and gain experience addressing real-world business challenges.

As an intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to the full data analytics lifecycle—from collecting and preparing data to identifying insights, developing dashboards, and presenting recommendations that support informed business decisions.

What You’ll Do

As a Data Analytics Intern, you’ll turn raw information into insights that help businesses make smarter decisions. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Gather, organise, clean, and transform data from multiple sources.
  • Investigate datasets to uncover trends, patterns, relationships, and anomalies.
  • Analyse business data and turn complex findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Use SQL to retrieve, filter, join, aggregate, and examine data efficiently.
  • Apply Python, Pandas, NumPy, and Jupyter Notebook to explore and manipulate datasets.
  • Bring data to life through engaging charts, reports, dashboards, and visualisations.
  • Help build, maintain, and improve dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
  • Detect data-quality issues and support validation and accuracy checks.
  • Examine business and operational performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor KPIs and key metrics that influence business performance.
  • Support recurring reports and data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Apply statistical techniques to answer business questions when required.
  • Translate business challenges into clear analytical requirements and deliverables.
  • Document your approach, assumptions, progress, findings, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and wider teams.
  • Present insights in a clear and engaging way to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Keep learning about developments in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Visualisation.

Who Can Apply?

This opportunity may suit candidates who:

  • Are currently studying or have recently completed a degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Understand the fundamentals of data analytics.
  • Have basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL or Python.
  • Are familiar with Excel and general data manipulation.
  • Understand basic statistical and analytical methods.
  • Have an interest in data visualisation, reporting, and dashboard development.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Can work independently in a remote environment.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and conversation.
  • Pay close attention to detail and show a genuine willingness to learn.
  • Can organise tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with a remote team.
