Data Analytics Internship

We are adding a Data Analytics Internship to our team to support a large-scale project for a major British financial client. The work involves taking fragmented data sets and organizing them into a structure that actually makes sense for the people using them. You will work closely with our developers to ensure that the internal dashboards and reporting tools we build provide accurate, reliable information to our client's operations teams.

About Pixel Systems

Pixel Systems is a small, fully remote software agency. We build the tools that teams actually use to run their businesses. We do not spend our time on flashy consumer apps or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on the practical stuff: admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that people usually try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a sprawling spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to finally talk to one another.

We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes before we start, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything including the code, the documentation, and walkthrough videos when we are finished. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable and easy to maintain. We are a team that prefers solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest trends.

The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning up and organizing data from a variety of sources. For our British financial client, this means digging into transaction records and internal metrics to make sure everything is consistent. You will help us move data between systems and identify where information might be missing or duplicated. A typical day might involve looking at a large dataset, finding errors, and figuring out how to fix them so the data can be imported into a new database.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will also help create internal reports and dashboards. We want our clients to be able to look at a screen and immediately understand their business operations. You will document your methods and create short videos to explain your findings to the rest of the team. Since we are a remote company, clear writing and documentation are a major part of the job.

What you bring

  • A high level of organization and attention to detail when looking at numbers and spreadsheets.
  • The ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and through recorded updates.
  • Curiosity about how different systems share data and a willingness to learn new tools.
  • Basic knowledge of how data is structured and an interest in making it more efficient.
  • A preference for practical, functional work over flashy or experimental projects.
  • The ability to manage your own schedule and stay on task in a remote setting.
  • A thorough approach to checking your own work for errors before it moves to the next stage.

Helpful background

  • Basic familiarity with SQL and how databases like Postgres work.
  • Experience using Excel or Google Sheets for more than just basic lists.
  • Some exposure to programming languages like Python or JavaScript.
  • Basic understanding of version control using GitHub.
  • Any experience with data visualization software or creating internal reports.
  • Familiarity with how APIs work to move information between different software tools.

Working at Pixel Systems

Working here is a bit different than at a large corporation. We have very few management layers, and we do not spend our days in endless meetings. We rely on clear, asynchronous communication to get things done. This role is fully remote, giving you the flexibility to work from wherever you are most productive. We value honesty and transparency, and we expect everyone to be upfront about what is working and what is not.

We offer a competitive and attractive pay rate for this internship. You will get to work on real problems that affect how a major financial client operates, and you will see the tools you help build go into production. We prioritize stable systems that work correctly every time, and we want our interns to learn that same discipline.

Pixel Systems is a place for people who enjoy the craft of building useful software. We are not interested in drama or office politics. We are interested in shipping code that makes someone's job easier. If you like the idea of working with a small, remote team to solve real business problems, you will find our environment very rewarding. We take pride in our work and we make sure our clients are supported long after a project is finished.
