Data Analytics Lead (Azure PowerBI SQL) Watford / WFH

Do you have strong Data Analytics knowledge? Looking for an opportunity to take ownership and shape the data strategy of a growing company?

You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on data transformation role; this is a newly created, influential role with responsibility for data strategy, analytics, data platforms, automation and CRM, helping the firm use technology and AI to make better decisions, improve efficiency and support sustainable growth.

About the Role

As the Data Analytics Lead you'll initially learn about the business, audit the current data systems and processes and then shape the firm's data platform, including data pipelines, data models, quality and secure storage as well as delivering advanced Power BI, Excel and analytics solutions that provide actionable insight.

You'll collaborate with c-suite stakeholders to explain the technical concepts, achieve buy-in and manage transformational change. You'll be using modern Microsoft tools within an Azure environment e.g. Fabric, PowerBI and advanced SQL to design and create Data Warehouses and modern reporting tools.

Location / WFH

You'll join a collaborative and social team in Watford, three days a week in a hybrid work from home model.

About You

  • Experience in a senior Data & Analytics or Data Management role
  • Strong technical skills across Power BI, Excel, SQL and Python
  • Experience with Azure data environments, ideally Azure Data Factory
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, engineering, pipelines and integrations
  • Familiar with CRM, automation and low-code technologies such as Power Automate, Power Apps and SharePoint
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear commercial insight
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, confident and pragmatic with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strategic, commercially minded approach and a genuine interest in AI and automation
