Campion Pickworth Recruitment Opportunity
Campion Pickworth is partnering with a leading financial advisory firm to recruit for a role within the Data Analytics space, within its banking and capital markets practice. This role presents a strong opportunity for someone looking to apply deep technical and modelling expertise while working closely with stakeholders across a fast-paced, high-performing team.
About the Role
This is a role for someone who enjoys leading teams, managing complex projects, and solving real-world financial services challenges in a fast-paced environment. You’ll sit at the intersection of analytics, audit, and regulatory change – leading the delivery of data and modelling initiatives, shaping how analytics is applied across the audit lifecycle, and working closely with senior stakeholders to drive impactful outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working within an analytics, data assurance or modelling environment in financial services, ideally within professional services or a large financial institution.
- Proven experience leading multiple teams and projects, managing competing deadlines and senior stakeholders.
- Strong project and engagement management skills, with accountability for delivery, quality, timelines and client relationships.
- Experience managing, mentoring and developing junior team members.
- Strong technical experience with Python, including reviewing code, automating data quality tests and communicating technical outputs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with Tableau, including developing dashboards and visualisations to communicate data quality findings, risks and insights.
- Working knowledge of SQL and experience working with large or complex datasets.
- Strong understanding of banking and capital markets, with exposure to one or more areas such as derivatives, loans, mortgages, capital, liquidity or risk/regulatory reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, including experience reviewing code, analytical outputs and documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders.
- A quantitative degree or equivalent background in a relevant discipline such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, finance, engineering or a related field.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
