Giroux.ai is a growing data and technology business working with Managing General Agents (MGAs) and insurance businesses to help them manage, process and understand their data across Europe, America and Asia.

The Role
We are looking for a Data & Analytics Manager to take responsibility for the delivery and ongoing management of client data solutions.
This is a hands-on role covering data engineering, database management, analytics, reporting and client consultancy. You will work directly with clients, underwriters, data analysts and senior insurance professionals to understand their requirements and develop practical data solutions.
You will manage existing client data environments while also taking on data work for new clients.
The role would suit someone with strong SQL and Microsoft SQL Server experience who enjoys working across the full data lifecycle, from processing and transforming raw data through to database design, reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain client databases and data processing solutions.
- Develop and maintain SQL Server databases, queries, stored procedures and data transformations.
- Manage ETL/data processing workflows and ensure data is accurate and reliable.
- Work with data architecture and database design to develop robust, maintainable solutions.
- Develop and maintain client reporting and analytics through our native platform.
- Work with clients to understand their data and reporting requirements and translate these into technical solutions.
- Act as a key point of contact for client data requirements, working with underwriters, analysts and senior management.
- Manage and maintain existing client environments, troubleshooting issues and identifying improvements.
- Work on data projects for new clients from initial requirements through to delivery.
- Provide support and guidance to a junior member of the team.
- Work closely with the founder on technical priorities and the development of Giroux.ai's data capabilities.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong management consulting skills i.e. ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
- Strong experience with the design and management of semantic layers (including Dimensional Modelling).
- Excellent SQL skills and a good understanding of relational databases.
- Experience with database management, data transformation and/or ETL processes.
- Experience with reporting or business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to details.
- Excellent English communication skills and confidence working directly with clients.

Desirable
- A degree in Business, Engineering or another STEM-related subject.
- Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese.
- Experience with data warehousing or data pipelines.
- Experience in insurance or financial services.
- Experience working in a small business, consultancy environment.
The Person
We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership and working independently.
You should be hands-on, curious, practical and adaptable, with the ability to investigate problems and find solutions working as a team. You should also be comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical people and managing multiple clients and priorities.
