Data & Analytics Manager
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000
Location:
North Cambridgeshire
Working Pattern: Four days onsite, with one day working from home
Zachary Daniels is partnering with a successful, privately owned multi-brand retail group to appoint a Data & Analytics Manager.
The business has an established UK store estate, growing brands, and ambitious plans for future expansion and acquisition. While it already generates significant data across retail, ecommerce, customer, marketing, stock, and operations, there is currently limited infrastructure in place to bring everything together.
This is a genuine greenfield opportunity for someone to establish the data and analytics capability from the ground up.
The Opportunity
You will work closely with the owners and senior leadership team to understand the current data landscape, define the strategy, and build the systems, reporting, and processes needed to improve decision-making across the group.
This is not a role where you will inherit a finished platform and simply maintain existing dashboards. You will have the freedom to identify what is missing, recommend the right technology, and create a data capability that delivers visible commercial value.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
