Team/Role Overview
This is an entry-to-early career role. This role is suited for individuals looking to build a career in data analytics and process improvement within a Capital Markets Operations environment. Working closely with, and under the direct guidance of, more senior Product Development colleagues (VP and above), you will support day-to-day data-gathering, basic analysis, and documentation tasks that feed into the wider OTC Settlements and Payments transformation agenda. - Support the team in building simple KPI trackers, process maps, and dashboard inputs, learning relevant tools and techniques along the way
- Gain first exposure to AI, low-code automation, and generative AI tools by assisting on small, well-defined tasks and observing how they are applied
- Support coordination with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, and Product teams (e.g., scheduling, note-taking, follow-up tracking) as part of project delivery
- Help maintain accurate status trackers and flag issues or risks to senior team members in a timely manner
- Appropriately assess risk in day-to-day work, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by complying with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating any concerns transparently to senior colleagues

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
