Marsh Technology - Data Analytics Software Architect

This role will be based in Cluj-Napoca. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Data Analytics Software Architect is part of a strategic group of engineers who embody best practice, quality, and our engineering vision. You will be a visible technical leader and role model within the engineering community—combining hands-on delivery with architecture ownership to help build secure, reliable, scalable, and data-driven solutions, including modern AI-enabled capabilities (including Agentic AI solutions).

As Data Analytics Software Architect you will translate enterprise architecture strategy into practical technical direction, ensure high engineering standards across the codebase, and help teams deliver high-quality outcomes at pace.

We will count on you to:

  • Be a hands-on product builder who leads by example and helps drive delivery of the organization’s goals
  • Drive tactical plans to implement Product Ecosystem strategies defined by Enterprise Architects
  • Own and shape the underlying architecture of the Product Ecosystem, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and maintainable
  • Maintain high standards of engineering quality by setting good practices, habits, and guardrails (including AI-assisted delivery patterns)
  • Act as the interface between Software Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, and management—ensuring alignment and clarity
  • Oversee technical delivery across teams, providing guidance to Lead and Senior Software Engineers and supporting their development plans
  • Design detailed solution architectures collaboratively with Enterprise Architects and engineers (backend and frontend, depending on project needs)
  • Facilitate group collaboration and ensure broad involvement in design and key technical decisions
  • Review designs and technical decisions with the architecture group and provide constructive feedback
  • Guide development techniques and methodologies (Agile at Scale, Lean, CI/CD, TDD, Infrastructure as Code)
  • Drive continuous improvement by proposing and implementing processes, designs, and engineering practices that improve delivery effectiveness
  • Track progress against wider engineering goals and communicate status transparently to engineers, Enterprise Architects, and management
  • Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and approaches that benefit the organization
  • Contribute to thought leadership and strategy across the Software Engineering organization
  • Build cloud-based data and analytics solutions, including Agentic AI solutions, applying AI to real business use cases with appropriate governance and lifecycle considerations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
