About The Role

Identity services are critical to delivering secure, seamless, and trusted digital experiences for millions of BT, EE, and Plusnet customers. This role turns complex data into actionable insights that improve customer journeys, platform performance, and operational efficiency. By enabling data-driven decision making across the Identity Tribe, the role helps optimise products, strengthen security, and drive better business outcomes while supporting BT’s digital transformation strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Analyse customer identity journeys, including registration, login, authentication, account recovery, profile management, and consent journeys to identify trends, opportunities, and pain points.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI, Qlik, and Looker Studio to provide actionable insights for business and engineering stakeholders.
  • Define, track, and report on key ID Tribe KPIs, including customer experience, platform reliability, security posture, API performance, service availability, and operational efficiency.

Essential Skills / Experience

Advanced SQL & Large-Scale Data Analysis

  • Strong SQL expertise with experience querying, analysing and optimising large, complex datasets across multiple data sources and platforms. Experience handling high-volume datasets is essential.

Data Visualisation & Dashboard Development

  • Proven experience building dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI and/or Qlik, translating complex data into meaningful insights for business and technical stakeholders.

BigQuery & Cloud Data Platforms

  • Hands-on experience using BigQuery and working with cloud-based data environments to deliver analytics, reporting and performance insights.

Desirable Skills / Experience

Identity & Access Management (IAM)

  • Experience within Identity & Access Management environments, customer authentication, login, registration or consent journeys.

Customer Identity Platforms

  • Exposure to Azure AD B2C, Microsoft Entra External ID, or similar customer identity technologies.

Digital Customer Journey Analytics

  • Experience analysing customer journeys, digital products, platform performance and user behaviour.

API Analytics & Platform Observability

  • Experience measuring API performance, system health, availability and operational service metrics.

Multi-Cloud Environment Experience

  • Exposure to Azure, AWS or GCP environments beyond core BigQuery experience.

Telecommunications Industry Experience

  • Telecommunications, digital services or large-scale enterprise experience. Preferred but not essential.

AI-Assisted Analytics & Predictive Modelling

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics, predictive modelling or advanced insight generation.

Front-End & Back-End System Understanding

  • Understanding of both customer-facing digital services and underlying data/system architectures.
