Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 DOE
Location: Remote (UK) with occasional travel

The Opportunity
We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established, Ofsted-rated 'Good' national training provider that is leading the way in AI, digital and workforce transformation programmes.
As demand for AI capability continues to grow across UK businesses, our client is expanding its delivery team and is seeking an experienced Data and AI & Automation Apprenticeship Skills Coach to support learners and employers in developing the practical skills required to apply AI and automation technologies effectively in the workplace.

The Role
As an Data and AI & Automation Apprenticeship Skills Coach, you will manage a caseload of learners undertaking Data and AI and Automation programmes from Level 4 through to Level 6 in Full Apprenticeship Programmes and Apprenticeship Units.
Working closely with learners, employers, and internal stakeholders, you will guide learners throughout their apprenticeship journey, supporting them to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to successfully complete their programme and apply AI within their role.

You will provide one-to-one coaching, conduct progress reviews, support portfolio development, and prepare learners for End Point Assessment, ensuring they remain engaged, on track, and achieve successful outcomes.
Alongside learner support, you will work collaboratively with employers to ensure learning is contextualised to the workplace and aligned to organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a caseload of Data and AI and Automation apprentices.
- Deliver engaging one-to-one coaching sessions and learner reviews.
- Support apprentices in developing portfolios and gathering workplace evidence.
- Conduct learner progress reviews involving both apprentices and employers.
- Provide coaching on AI, automation, and workplace implementation projects.
- Prepare learners for Gateway and End Point Assessment.
- Identify learners at risk and implement appropriate support and intervention plans.
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records using e-portfolio systems.
- Build strong working relationships with employers and key stakeholders.
- Support learners in applying AI and automation technologies within their workplace.
- Promote high levels of learner engagement, achievement, and programme completion.
- Ensure compliance with apprenticeship standards, funding requirements, and quality expectations.
About You
Essential
- Experience working as an Apprenticeship Skills Coach, Trainer, Assessor, or Learning Coach.
- Strong practical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Automation, and Digital Technologies including Data Analyst.
- Recognised qualification in Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Digital Transformation, or a related discipline (Level 4+).
- Experience supporting learners within apprenticeships, vocational education, or workforce development programmes.
- Experience conducting learner reviews and managing learner progression.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good understanding of Microsoft 365 applications and AI-enabled workplace tools.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel when required.

Highly Desirable
- Experience coaching or supporting learners on AI, Data, Digital, or Technology programmes.
- Knowledge of AI implementation, governance, and organisational adoption strategies.
- Experience supporting leadership and management apprenticeship programmes.
- Experience using e-portfolio systems such as OneFile, Aptem, or Bud.
- Experience creating digital learning resources and learner support materials.
Desirable
- Teaching, Training, or Coaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Assessor qualification such as CAVA, TAQA, or A1.
- Understanding of apprenticeship standards, funding rules, and Ofsted requirements.
