As we continue to expand our data and AI capabilities, we're looking for a Data & AI Governance Lead to establish and drive best-in-class governance practices across our UK Insurance business.
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of both Data Governance and Responsible AI Governance, ensuring that data and AI are managed responsibly, ethically and in line with regulatory requirements while enabling innovation and business value.
Reporting to the Head of Applied AI & Data Operations, you'll work with senior leaders across Data & Analytics, Technology, Risk, Legal, Compliance and the wider business to build a culture of accountability, trust and effective governance. Initially an individual contributor role, this position offers the opportunity to shape and lead a future governance team.

- Establish governance frameworks that support effective management of critical data assets.
- Develop practical governance operating models that embed compliance throughout the data lifecycle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
