LET’S TELL YOU MORE
We’re looking for a Data and Analytics Engineer. The role helps us make the most of our data and technology by creating Data Pipelines, Dataflows, ETL processes and Data Models to feed our reports, analytics and predictive modelling.
You will utilise pipelines you deploy, as well as existing ones, to develop your own reporting, analytics and automation, using your deep data analysis experience to draw out insight that leads to real performance improvements.
You will do this using tools including Microsoft Azure Synapse, Azure Machine Learning, Data Bricks, AWS, SQL, Python, Power BI, Power Automate and AI.
This is a senior role, and as such you will lead and support a range of performance improvement and technology projects built on your data and analysis, your drive to solve problems and your desire to take ownership for delivering tangible positive change. Meaning you will need to be a great communicator to be successful. You will visit stakeholders across the business, build relationships and trust by being engaging and making complex ideas simple.
We are flexible in location: you can either be based at our Severn Trent Centre, in Coventry’s City Centre or our Derby Pride Park site where you’ll be able to park for free or get to with ease with loads of local travel options.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
