About Us

"Shaw Trust promotes team spirit, inclusiveness and it is an organisation where everybody is somebody. I am proud to be part of this great organisation.”

At Shaw Trust we believe everyone has the right to live a decent and dignified life and an opportunity for rewarding work. We are a social purpose organisation challenging inequality and breaking down barriers to enable social mobility.

For us being part of the solution is about creating the conditions for this to happen, advocating and delivering services that make a real difference. Working in partnership not competition, we are part of an eco-system of purpose-led organisations, striving for a fairer, more equal society centred on opportunity for all.

Position Overview

SUBJECT TO CONTRACT AWARD

We are currently in a procurement process but hope to win a contract in this area.

Purpose

We will need a Data and Claims Officer to work alongside the Programme Manager to support the delivery of one of the Shaw Trust's Services in Norfolk.

The aim of the service overall is to contribute to the Shaw Trust vision of a society in which everyone has the opportunity for employment, inclusion and independence. To stand-out you need to champion and embrace change, balance the empathy of a charitable heart with a commercial edge, and be willing to learn and collaborate with others. Your eye for detail and rigorous approach to quality will be crucial in ensuring that the service offers the very best support to its clients and that we successfully implement each element of the model. The primary focus is on delivering the required improvements to operational delivery processes and systems in order to ensure full compliance with the Trust’s contractual obligations. Secondary focus is optimising the collection and dissemination of management information and service delivery across the organisation, and thirdly the coordination of required data for wider stakeholders and commissioners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, collate and disseminate management information for use in the delivery of the Service, producing high level, accurate analyses and reports of financial and management information for company and external use
  • In partnership with the Programme Manager, develop and implement quality processes for use on the Service. Manage the maintenance, audit and quality assurance of management information and individual client records. Review and report on the presence of essential documentation for the delivery of the contract.
  • Review reports and formulate a continuous improvement plan for each delivery team, ensuring these are reviewed and updated quarterly. Regularly monitor and review the validity and use of management information to ensure data held meets all operational, quality and contractual requirements.
  • Conduct evidence-based quality checks (e.g. observations, file checks) as and when required. Overseeing timeliness and quality of data inputting, supporting the Programme Manager to meet claim deadlines
  • Maintain instructions, guidelines and procedures for staff and partners including System of Work. Support all delivery teams to maximise performance by using the CRM systems effectively through training and feedback. Support with registering and training new staff on the CRM System.
  • Work with the Programme Manager and Head of service to improve and develop BI and reporting systems over the duration of the contract.
  • Point of contact for client enquiries via dedicated phone line and/or email address. Receive and process all self-referrals to the contract via the phone line or email address.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
