Salary - £42,000 - £45,000.00 per year DOE

Remote-Based Working Role (09:00 - 17:00)

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Apprenticeship Tutor with strong expertise in Data apprenticeship standards. Experience of supporting Software apprenticeship standards would be advantageous, ideally across Level 3, Level 4, and Level 5 standards, to join our award-winning, Ofsted GOOD-rated national training provider.

We are a BCS Approved Apprenticeship Centre, Cisco Academy, and CompTIA Education Partner, delivering high-quality training to both SMEs and large levy-paying clients.

Your Impact

  • Deliver engaging, remote-first training and assessment using Microsoft Teams
  • Support apprentices through their journey, including EPA preparation
  • Support apprentices to develop the technical and professional skills required for successful careers in Data and Digital occupations
  • Collaborate with a supportive back-office team and contribute to curriculum development

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Assessment

  • Deliver coaching, teaching, assessment and progress reviews through a remote-first model, typically via Microsoft Teams aligned to apprenticeship standards (Levels 3–4)
  • Support learners through formative and summative assessment, including EPA preparation
  • Apply the latest DfE assessment principles, including on-programme assessment where applicable
  • Use platforms like OneFile to track learner progress and feedback
  • Manage a caseload typically ranging from 30-35 apprentices, depending on programme mix and support requirements.
  • Support learners to achieve timely completions, positive learner outcomes and successful EPA achievement.

Apprenticeship Administration

  • Conduct regular progress reviews with learners and employers, ensuring alignment with the training plan
  • Monitor and validate learning journals, attendance, and off-the-job training records
  • Ensure all documentation meets funding rules and internal compliance standards
  • Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to audit readiness
  • Liaise with employers to support learner development and resolve issues
  • Ensure learners meet Gateway requirements and are EPA-ready

Apprenticeship Standards You’ll Deliver

Essential:

  • Data Technician – Level 3
  • Data Analyst – Level 4

Highly Desirable

  • Business Analyst L4

Preferred:

  • Digital Support Technician – Level 3
  • Information Communications Technician – Level 3
  • Software Development Technician – Level 3
  • Software Developer – Level 4
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Automation Practitioner – Level 4

Experience of Data Engineer Level 5 delivery would be advantageous.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience delivering Level 4 Data apprenticeship standards (minimum 2 years)
  • Experience supporting learners through Gateway and End Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Strong occupational competence in Data disciplines, with the ability to support selected Software apprenticeship standards where required
  • Excellent communication, planning, and learner engagement skills
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and approachable
  • Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (or equivalent)
  • Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent in Maths, English, and ICT
  • Familiarity with OneFile e-portfolio
  • Robust knowledge of Safeguarding, Prevent, and Equality & Diversity

Essential

  • Level 3 Education & Training qualification (or equivalent)

Desirable

  • Level 4 or above teaching qualification

Essential occupational competence in:

  • Data analysis
  • Data reporting
  • SQL
  • Advanced Excel

Desirable occupational competence in:

  • Power BI
  • Data visualisation
  • Azure fundamentals
  • Software Development

Desirable Certifications:

  • Microsoft Azure
  • EMC Data Science Associate
  • Other relevant industry certifications
