About the job you’re considering

As a Data and Insights Driven Solutions Lead, your core purpose is to use data, service insight and analysis to build the most efficient and best-priced solutions for our clients across Cloud Infrastructure Services, spanning cloud computing, traditional infrastructure, end user services, enterprise service management and cyber security. You will collate and interrogate existing service data and operational practices to uncover where effort, cost and waste sit within service delivery, and apply Capgemini’s ESOAR framework to turn those insights into improvement actions and automation projects. Leveraging your expertise in data storytelling, presentation and business communication, you will translate this insight into compelling, evidenced client proposals. Your role will involve leading cross-functional teams, managing senior stakeholders, and ensuring the deliverability of solutions from conception to implementation.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role

  • Service Data & Effort Analysis: Collate and analyse existing service data and operational practices/runbooks to identify the effort spent in the delivery of services, establishing a clear, evidenced baseline of cost and effort drivers.
  • ESOAR-Led Improvement: Apply Capgemini’s ESOAR framework (Eliminate, Standardise, Optimise, Automate, Robotise) to determine improvement actions and projects, with the aim of eradicating wastage and automating repeatable tasks.
  • Insight-Led Solutioning: Lead the integration of data, analytics and insight into new and existing solutions, working collaboratively with clients to shape and incubate opportunities and respond to RFIs, RFPs and similar procurement frameworks.
  • Client-Centric Vision: Clearly articulate a client-centric, evidence-based vision using data storytelling and advanced presentation skills.
  • Business Communication: Demonstrate concise and business-focused written communication and general writing skills, translating complex data and analytics into compelling narratives.
  • Competitive & Cost Analysis: Use data and analytics to understand competitive pressures on price, identify cost levers, and deliver the most cost-effective and competitive solutions.
  • Requirements & Data Analysis: Undertake requirements analysis and translation, using operational and service data to understand service components, standard service offerings, and potential gaps.
  • Commercial Understanding: Possess detailed commercial understanding, including risks, terms and conditions (T&Cs) and service schedules, as well as contractual drafting.
  • Financial & Insight Analysis: Conduct detailed price, cost and benefits analysis, including internal business case creation grounded in data and analytics.
  • Coaching and mentoring: Undertake coaching, mentoring and people management of colleagues to develop data, insight and solutioning skills and capabilities.
  • Break boundaries: Whilst demonstrating mastery of data, analytics and insight capability, you will possess a broad understanding of the wider cloud and infrastructure portfolio and technologies to deliver holistic solutions to our clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
