We are looking for a Data and Reporting Engineer to join the team at our Blythe Bridge depot!

The Data & Reporting Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining reliable reporting and analytics solutions that enable data-led decision making across the organization. This role is predominantly office based.

  • Reporting & Dashboard Delivery
  • Data Engineering & SQL Development
  • Data Quality & Governance Support
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement

Essential Skills & Experience

Technical

  • Strong SQL capability
  • Hands-on experience delivering reports using:
    • QlikView (data loads, scripting, set analysis, dashboards)
    • Power BI (data modelling, DAX, Power Query, visuals, workspace practices)
    • SSRS (report development, datasets, parameters, subscriptions, scheduling)
  • Understanding of data modelling concepts (facts/dimensions, measures, grain, hierarchies).
  • Experience integrating data from multiple systems and dealing with imperfect source data.
  • Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or HTML to support data manipulation, automation, or report customisation.

Analytical & Delivery

  • Ability to convert requirements into clear technical design and deliver working solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment balancing BAU reporting support with change delivery.

Communication

  • Able to explain data concepts and report logic to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation habits: definitions, assumptions, report purpose, and change notes.

Desirable (Advantageous) Skills & Experience

  • Epicor BisTrack experience (reporting, data structures, operational workflows such as sales orders, purchasing, inventory, pricing, site performance).
  • Exposure to data warehousing / lakehouse concepts and/or modern cloud data platforms.
  • Familiarity with data governance, KPI standardisation, and master data management concepts.
