Data Architect – London - £70-79k + Benefits
We are currently working with a highly regarded organisation that is actively recruiting for a Data Architect to join on a permanent basis.
The organisation is in the process of evolving from traditional data technologies towards a focus on Fabric, Synapse and AI automation, the Data Architect will be vital in driving this progress. The role holder will be a key player in a number of vital projects in the pipeline.
Our client operates a hybrid working policy with two days per week on-site.
Key responsibilities:
- Taking business requirements and building end-to-end solutions
- Using Fabric and Azure services to design scalable data platforms
- Working with the architecture team to ensure that designs effectively contribute towards the organisation’s data architecture strategy
- Driving the rollout across the organisation of Fabric, working with key stakeholders to ensure high adoption rates
- Ensuring standards and reference architectures are defined across Data Factory, PowerBI and OneLake
- Defining patterns across ETL, ELT, meta data, master data management etc.
- Working closely with Data Engineers on data pipelines, ensuring they are secure and resilient
- Ensuring solutions are fully compliant with governance requirements
- Driving best practice across data governance and data quality
- Building excellent relationships across key senior stakeholders in the organisation

Key skills and experience required:
- Strong enterprise-level experience across data engineering, analytics and platforms
- Proven ability to produce architecture designs and standards
- Excellent understanding of architecture and data governance
- Experience designing MS Fabric solutions
- Experience designing data platforms with Azure
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Azure SQL
- A track record of adapting to new technologies and methodologies
- The ability to review and assess technology recommendations, (including AI-generated) and present findings and pathways to stakeholders
- A mindset focused on growth and curiosity, with a focus on learning new technologies
- Exposure to AI and machine learning as well as advanced analytics solution patterns
- Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to create consensus amongst stakeholders with different interests
- The ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
