Microsoft Solutions Architecture / Data Architecture
Existing DV clearance is essential. South West, Outside IR35. 3-days p/w onsite.
We're supporting a specialist defence customer delivering a Microsoft-based transformation programme within a secure operational environment. This is a hands-on role focused on designing and implementing a proof of value using the existing Microsoft stack, introducing governance, improving project delivery processes and creating an end-to-end operating model. AI will come later, the immediate priority is building robust foundations.
The customer is open to a mix of Microsoft architects and engineers who enjoy delivering practical solutions rather than producing documentation alone.

You'll be responsible for
- Designing and implementing the initial solution
- Building Power BI dashboards and reporting
- Configuring SharePoint and Jira
- Improving operational processes and delivery governance
- Creating an end-to-end operating model
- Working alongside an experienced delivery team
We're looking for
- Existing DV clearance
- Strong Microsoft platform experience
- Solution Architecture, Data Architecture or Data Engineering background
- Power BI, SharePoint and Jira expertise
- Process improvement and operational delivery experience
- Defence, government or other complex enterprise environments are advantageous

This is an Outside IR35 contract with an initial six-month term and a strong likelihood of extension. You'll typically spend around three days per week onsite in the South West, with occasional travel to other secure customer locations across the UK.
