Position Description

At CGI, we help organisations unlock the full value of their data by designing modern, scalable architectures that enable better decisions, accelerate innovation and deliver lasting business outcomes. As a Senior Data Architect, you'll work with clients to shape enterprise data strategies, define cloud-based solutions and lead complex transformation initiatives. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across consulting and technology, you'll influence strategic decisions, develop trusted client relationships and deliver high-quality solutions that make a measurable impact while continuing to grow your expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.

CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will advise clients on enterprise data architecture, helping them design and implement modern cloud-based data platforms that support strategic business objectives. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand complex challenges, develop architecture solutions and provide expert guidance across the full data lifecycle. From defining data strategies and solution architectures to supporting transformation programmes, you'll play a key role in helping clients modernise their data capabilities and maximise the value of their information assets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
