Data Architect
Location: Hybrid (UK)
Salary: £80,000
We're partnering with a highly successful, private equity-backed organisation that is embarking on a major data transformation journey. The business has recognised data as a strategic asset and has recently invested in leadership and technology to create a modern, enterprise-wide data capability. As part of this greenfield transformation, they're looking for an experienced Data Architect to take ownership of the organisation's data platform strategy and design.
This is a role offering autonomy, visibility with senior stakeholders and the chance to make a lasting impact across the entire business.
As the Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and governing the enterprise data platform, creating a scalable and secure foundation for reporting, analytics, AI, and future innovation.
Working closely with executive stakeholders and technology leadership, you'll define the architectural vision while driving the implementation of a modern Lakehouse and Data Warehouse environment built on Microsoft and Databricks technologies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
