Data Architect (12 Month FTC)

London (1 day per week) | Up to £85,000 - £90,000

Are you a Data Architect who enjoys solving complex data challenges, defining enterprise-wide data strategy and building the foundations for trusted, business-critical data?

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Data Architect to join a business investing heavily in its data capabilities and future-state architecture. The organisation is embarking on a significant transformation journey, moving from Azure Synapse towards Microsoft Fabric, and is looking for an experienced Data Architect to help shape that vision.

Working across multiple business and data domains, you will provide architectural leadership, driving master data strategy, governance, modelling standards and modern data platform design. This role will suit a Data Architect who enjoys operating at both strategic and hands-on design levels, partnering with senior stakeholders to establish scalable, governed and trusted data foundations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Define and own enterprise data architecture across multiple business domains
  • Lead the design and implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) and Golden Record strategies
  • Establish data governance, stewardship and data quality frameworks
  • Design conceptual, logical and physical data models
  • Develop and optimise Gold Layer models for reporting, analytics and business insight
  • Create semantic models that support enterprise reporting and financial decision-making
  • Shape the target-state architecture for the migration from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric
  • Drive data cataloguing, metadata management and lineage initiatives
  • Work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to understand strategic data requirements
  • Act as the go-to Data Architect for architectural standards, best practice and roadmap development

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
