Data Architect

London (Hybrid) | Outside IR35 Contract | Excellent Day Rate | Long-Term Programme

We are seeking experienced Data Architects to join a major transformation programme, helping enterprise organisations modernise their data capabilities through cloud-first architecture and strategic data initiatives.

This is an opportunity to play a leading role in shaping scalable, future-ready data platforms across complex environments.

Our client is a well-established technology consultancy delivering large-scale digital and data transformation programmes for enterprise customers. With a significant pipeline of projects, they are expanding their architecture capability and require experienced Data Architects to support the design, governance and delivery of modern data ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver enterprise-scale data architecture solutions
  • Define target-state data platforms, roadmaps and architectural standards
  • Develop cloud-first data strategies aligned to business objectives
  • Establish and promote data governance, quality and best-practice frameworks
  • Support the modernisation and migration of legacy data environments
  • Work closely with business, technology and leadership stakeholders
  • Drive architectural decision-making across complex transformation programmes
  • Ensure data solutions are scalable, secure and aligned to organisational goals

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect within large-scale enterprise environments
  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles, frameworks and governance
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure and/or GCP
  • Experience designing modern data platforms using Databricks and/or Snowflake
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Track record of delivering complex data transformation initiatives
  • Experience operating within programme and enterprise architecture environments

  • Knowledge of data operating models and organisational change programmes
  • Exposure to multi-cloud environments and hybrid architectures
