Job Title: AWS Data Architect

Location: London

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days on-site)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 6 Months

Contract Type: Inside IR35


About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale cloud data platforms for major UK Insurance and Financial Services organisations. This role will focus on building modern data architectures using AWS, Databricks, and MongoDB, while supporting large-scale data modernisation and cloud migration programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define enterprise data architecture and cloud data strategy
  • Design scalable Lakehouse architectures using AWS and Databricks
  • Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Lead data modernisation and cloud migration initiatives
  • Establish data governance, security, lineage, and data quality frameworks
  • Work closely with business, engineering, and executive stakeholders
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor data engineering teams
