Job Title: AWS Data Architect
Location: London

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale cloud data platforms for major UK Insurance and Financial Services organisations. This role will focus on building modern data architectures using AWS, Databricks, and MongoDB, while supporting large-scale data modernisation and cloud migration programmes.

Key Responsibilities
- Define enterprise data architecture and cloud data strategy
- Design scalable Lakehouse architectures using AWS and Databricks
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Lead data modernisation and cloud migration initiatives
- Establish data governance, security, lineage, and data quality frameworks
- Work closely with business, engineering, and executive stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership and mentor data engineering teams

Essential Experience
- Strong enterprise data architecture background
- Hands-on experience designing AWS Databricks platforms
- Experience working with MongoDB
- Data modelling across conceptual, logical, and physical layers
- Data governance, lineage, security, and quality frameworks
- Cloud migration and data modernisation programmes
