Contract Opportunity – Data Architect 🚨
Location: Hybrid – Bristol (2 days per week in the office)
Duration: 6 Months
Contract: Day Rate
We're looking for an experienced Data Architect to support a major digital and data transformation programme.
This is a strategic architecture role, ideal for someone who enjoys shaping enterprise data platforms, defining target-state architectures, and influencing long-term data strategy.
Key responsibilities:
- Assess existing Azure Databricks lakehouse environments
- Define the target data architecture and future roadmap
- Recommend platform consolidation, separation, or federated operating models
- Establish enterprise data architecture standards and governance
- Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to align data strategy with organisational objectives

We're looking for experience in:
- Enterprise Data Architecture
- Azure Data Platform & Azure Databricks
- Modern Data Lakehouse architectures
- Data modelling (conceptual, logical & physical)
- Data integration and pipeline design
- Data governance, metadata management & data lineage
- Enterprise-scale platform design and transformation
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Desirable:
- UK Public Sector, Local Government or Transport sector experience
