Summary of role purpose
Support the development and delivery of data architecture across Audit by designing trusted, well-governed data solutions that align with business strategy, technology transformation programmes and regulatory requirements.

Roles and responsibilities
- Embed data architecture principles, standards and best practices across Audit.
- Lead data architecture workstreams within technology transformation programmes.
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models, mappings and data lineage documentation.
- Support metadata management, data cataloguing and architecture repository governance.
- Apply data governance, traceability, master data and reference data management practices.
- Contribute to data schema design and ETL/ELT solutions that support secure and effective data use.
- Ensure data solutions meet governance, regulatory and data quality requirements.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders and communicate data concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience and skills needed
- Experience designing and implementing complex data architecture solutions.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, traceability, data lineage and systems of record.
- Experience creating conceptual, logical and physical data models.
- Experience developing data mapping and lineage documentation.
- Knowledge of metadata management, data governance and data catalogue practices.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and business analysis skills.
Desirable experience
- Knowledge of ER/Studio Data Architect or similar data modelling tools.
- Experience with data catalogue and metadata management platforms.
- Familiarity with Microsoft data technologies.
- Experience with Informatica and master or reference data management tooling.
- Understanding of recognised data management frameworks such as DAMA.
