Experis' Client Seeking an Experienced Data Architect
Experi's client is seeking an experienced Data Architect to join a major ERP transformation programme on an initial 6-month contract.
This is a high-profile opportunity to play a key role in the implementation of a new enterprise ERP platform, shaping the data architecture that underpins critical business operations, reporting, and decision-making.
Working alongside senior technology leaders, implementation partners, and business stakeholders, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end data architecture, ensuring the successful delivery of data migration, data governance, master data management, reporting, and integration requirements.
The Role
As Data Architect, you'll be responsible for defining and governing the overall data strategy for the ERP implementation, ensuring data is accurate, accessible, secure, and fit for purpose throughout the programme lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the end-to-end data architecture for a large-scale ERP implementation.
- Design future-state data models, governance frameworks, and ownership structures.
- Lead data migration architecture, including mapping, transformation, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Establish data quality standards, controls, and remediation processes.
- Define reporting and analytics architecture across ERP and enterprise reporting platforms.
- Design and govern data flows between the ERP solution and wider business systems.
- Review and challenge migration designs, data models, and reporting approaches delivered by third-party vendors.
- Support testing, migration rehearsals, cutover planning, and deployment activities.
- Produce and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and governance artefacts.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and supportable data solutions.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Data Architect on large-scale ERP transformation or implementation programmes.
- Strong background in enterprise data architecture and data engineering.
- Significant experience delivering complex data migration programmes.
- Expertise in data modelling, data governance, data lineage, and information management.
- Experience implementing master data management and data quality frameworks.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integrations, APIs, and data flows.
- Experience working with ERP vendors, systems integrators, and third-party delivery partners.
- Experience participating in architecture governance or Design Authority forums.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Desirable Experience
- Experience delivering ERP programmes involving platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, COINS, IFS, or similar.
- Experience designing modern reporting and analytics solutions.
- Exposure to enterprise data platforms, cloud data architectures, and data warehousing environments.
- Experience supporting migration rehearsals, cutover planning, and go-live activities.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with COINS ERP.
- Experience within engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
- Knowledge of Finance, Procurement, Commercial, Operations, or Project Delivery business data.
- Experience working in highly regulated or complex operational environments.
