Company Description:

BrandDelta empowers companies around the world to transform the way their Brands can learn and win. Our Brand Intelligence platform is built to enable our clients to understand how consumers perceive their brands faster, deeper and in a more actionable manner with measurable links.

We also help organisations transform how marketing decisions are made. Our platform brings together marketing effectiveness measurement, optimisation, and brand intelligence to support faster, more confident planning across markets, channels and time horizons.

We work closely with global marketing, activation and commercial teams to embed advanced analytics and decisioning tools into everyday workflows - moving beyond static reporting toward continuous planning and scenario-based decision-making.

Role Description:

We are seeking a Data Architect / Cloud Engineer to lead the technical delivery of a flagship enterprise deployment and to strengthen the cloud engineering backbone behind Brand Delta's platforms.

The centrepiece of the role is the internalisation of our marketing-effectiveness and optimisation platforms into a global client's Azure environment: re-platforming applications, data pipelines and stores inside the client's boundary, to enterprise architecture and InfoSec standards, and through the client's formal technology assurance process. You will work directly with the client's enterprise architects, data & analytics and security teams — and with our modelling, engineering and product teams — to design, build and evidence that deployment.

Beyond the project, you will own cloud infrastructure, environments and delivery pipelines across Brand Delta's platforms, and implement the IT and security policies that govern them under our ISO 27001 certification.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on Azure engineering with data-architecture judgement, is comfortable presenting designs to enterprise architects, and treats security and compliance as part of engineering rather than an afterthought.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Platform Internalisation

  • Design and build the client-side Azure environment: networking and private connectivity, virtual machines, Databricks workspace, storage, Entra ID integration, and dev/test/prod environments via infrastructure-as-code and deployment templates.
  • Migrate and re-point data pipelines and application services into the client boundary; rebuild data-delivery interfaces in-environment with validation tooling so no data needs to leave.
  • Support secure packaging and release of versioned engine components: signing, version-controlled delivery, rollback and release procedures.
  • Produce architecture documentation, data-flow maps and assurance evidence for the client's architecture review and InfoSec processes; support security reviews and penetration testing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Data Architecture

  • Own the data architecture across our lakehouse estate (medallion Bronze/Silver/Gold on Fabric / Synapse), orchestration (Data Factory), storage design and lineage.
  • Design and document the data contracts between modelling outputs and decisioning applications: schemas, versioning, data dictionaries and validation gates.
  • Set standards for data quality, retention and classification across multi-market deployments and large analytical datasets.

Cloud Engineering & DevOps

  • Operate and evolve the Azure estate behind our platforms: App Services, storage, networking, Key Vault, monitoring (Azure Monitor / Application Insights) and cost governance.
  • Own CI/CD in Azure DevOps: pipelines, code scanning, automated testing gates and staged promotion across physically separated environments.
  • Champion zero-secret patterns: Managed Identities, RBAC and encrypted-by-default storage and transit.

IT Policy, Security & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain IT and security policies aligned to ISO 27001: access management, change management, vulnerability management and vendor management.
  • Keep the estate audit-ready: automated audit logging, evidence packs, certification support and client security questionnaires.
  • Embed policy into engineering practice so compliance evidence is produced as a by-product of delivery, not a documentation exercise.

Requirements

Essential Experience

  • 5–10+ years across data engineering / architecture, cloud engineering or platform engineering.
  • Deep, hands-on Azure experience: App Services, Databricks and/or Synapse / Fabric, Data Factory, storage, networking and Entra ID.
  • Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep or ARM) and CI/CD with Azure DevOps.
  • Strong Python and SQL; Spark for large-scale data processing.
  • Data-architecture fundamentals: lakehouse / medallion patterns, schema and contract design, lineage and data quality.
  • Experience deploying into — or operating within — large enterprise environments: security reviews, InfoSec alignment, architecture assurance processes.
  • Credible in front of enterprise architects and security teams: clear documentation, clear diagrams, clear answers.
