Associate Director - Data & AI Consulting

Robert Half is supporting a client in the search for an experienced Associate Director - Data & AI Consulting to join a growing Data & AI function delivering enterprise-scale transformation programmes. This is a highly client-facing consulting role suited to individuals with a strong consulting background who can combine strategic advisory, stakeholder management, business development and delivery leadership across Data, Analytics, Cloud and AI engagements.

You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping shape transformation roadmaps, develop propositions, support sales opportunities and oversee successful programme delivery.

Assignment Details

  • Initial 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension and temp to perm
  • London / Hybrid working
  • Competitive day rate

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements across Data, AI and Cloud transformation initiatives
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Support business development, proposals, pursuits and client growth activities
  • Provide leadership across complex consulting engagements from discovery through delivery
  • Shape Data & AI strategies, operating models and transformation roadmaps
  • Support practice growth, capability development and team mentoring
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure successful client outcomes

Required Experience

  • Strong consulting background within a recognised consultancy
  • Experience operating at Senior Manager or Associate Director level
  • Proven track record leading enterprise transformation programmes
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive engagement skills
  • Experience supporting sales, bids, proposals and business development activities
  • Ability to bridge business strategy and technical delivery
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary consulting teams

Candidates from organisations such as Accenture, NTT DATA, Capgemini, IBM Consulting, Cognizant, Deloitte, EY, PwC, KPMG, Avanade, Slalom, Reply, BJSS, Eviden, TCS, Wipro and similar consulting environments are particularly encouraged to apply.

Nice to Have

  • Data, Cloud or AI certifications
  • Experience within Financial Services, Retail, Utilities or Manufacturing sectors
  • Exposure to AI, GenAI and modern data platform transformation programmes
  • Experience building and scaling consulting capabilities or practices

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Senior Manager seeking a step into Associate Director level, or an existing Associate Director looking to join a growing and entrepreneurial consulting environment.
