Data Architect (SC Clearance)
💷 Up to £600/day (Inside IR35)
📍 2 days per week on-site in London
⏱️ 6-month contract
🔐 SC clearance required — active within the last 2 years
I’m looking for an experienced Data Architect with strong enterprise data architecture experience, deep data modelling expertise and a solid understanding of regulated, governed environments. The emphasis is on enterprise data architecture, information architecture and data domain modelling—not Data Platform Architecture.
Key experience required:
- Enterprise data architecture, information architecture and data domain modelling
- Conceptual, logical and physical data modelling
- Defining canonical, domain, shared, reference and analytical data models
- Data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, traceability and auditability
- Shaping data strategy and translating it into practical roadmaps aligned with business outcomes
- Data migration strategy, including source-to-target mapping, reconciliation and phased cutover approaches

Additional experience that would be valuable:
- Defining enterprise data architecture principles, standards and architecture repositories
- Data ownership, stewardship and federated operating models
- Designing data architectures to meet regulatory, security and compliance requirements
- Awareness of Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and Spark-based ecosystems
- Communicating complex data concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Working independently in complex, regulated environments
