Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to define the target data architecture for Enterprise OT asset data products. The role will ensure electricity transmission asset data from substations, SCADA, IoT, historians, logs, and fault records is structured, contextualised, governed, and aligned to the Enterprise Data Model so it can be trusted and reused across the organisation.

The role focuses on turning fragmented operational and asset data into standardised, asset-linked data products that support condition monitoring, maintenance planning, disturbance analysis, operational decision-making, analytics, and future AI-enabled capabilities.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Define the Target Data Architecture Develop the target architecture for OT asset data products, including logical and conceptual models, canonical data structures, ingestion and storage patterns, and alignment with the Enterprise Data Model.
  • Align OT Data to Enterprise Asset Context Define how OT data is linked to enterprise asset hierarchies, functional positions, EAM identifiers, substation naming conventions, and protocol-specific structures such as IEC 61850, SCADA, and IoT telemetry.
  • Establish Data Product Standards Set standards for data products, including metadata, schema definitions, quality rules, lineage, refresh requirements, ownership, stewardship, version control, and security classification to ensure data is reusable and well understood.
  • Support Data Modelling and Normalisation Define common modelling, normalisation, and contextualisation patterns for time-series, event, alarm, measurement, and file-based data, while preserving traceability and enabling comparison across multiple source systems.
  • Enable Governance and Delivery Alignment Work across initiatives including IoT, intelligent substations, SCADA replacement, enterprise asset management, and analytics platforms to align architecture decisions, define governance requirements, and support delivery teams with practical architecture artefacts.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
